Make no mistake – the names above represent the single most important part of your hunting trip to New Zealand. Guided hunting is a people business and High Peak is very lucky to have the services of a team of dedicated professional hunting guides.
Each of the team have their own unique backgrounds and stories but one thing unites them – a love for hunting and an absolute determination to do the best by their clients. We work as a group – you’ll have your own dedicated guide, but our whole team works together to ensure each member of the hunting party has the opportunities on the animals they’re after.
When you hunt with a member of the High Peak team, rest assured that their primary purpose is your enjoyment and success.

Everything you need for an incredible experience.
Your guide will be the first member of our team that you’ll meet in person at pickup and the last one you’ll farewell as a friend upon drop off.
In between, they will provide transport, equipment, logistics and a vast bank of New Zealand hunting knowledge to ensure you have everything you need for success. Each guide has their own rifle, optics and support equipment and the expertise to utilise it. This means you do not have to travel with anything but your personal hunting gear – everything is supplied as part of your package.
At High Peak, it is customary for guides to spend the evenings with their clients as part of the experience we offer. You will get the opportunity to meet and mingle with the full team during your hunt with us.

A lodge team dedicated to your well-being.
At High Peak we believe that you need just a few key ingredients for an enjoyable hunting trip – two of which are a good meal and a good night’s sleep.
Supporting the field team is our excellent lodge team of Hilary, John, Sasha and Zoe. Two chefs and a dedicated hostess and housekeeping team to make sure you are well fed and well slept. Our hostess team are also instrumental in looking after our non-hunting guests, organising and facilitating activities and day trips while the hunters do their thing.
Our chefs are consummate hospitality professionals, catering to individual dietary needs while delivering a taste of the high country produce that High Peak is known for.
Rest assured, you’ll be very well looked after.

A family business, for families.
With three generations of the Guild family representing a 50+ year history on High Peak Station, we are the very definition of a family business.
Our job as owners is simple – to give our team the support and environment that enables them to give the best possible experience to you – our hunters, their families and friends. This means a great team culture, excellent facilities and above all, a great hunting and lodging environment.
Our low staff turnover, plus the fact that some of our team have been involved with High Peak Hunting for over 15 years suggests that we might just have the balance right.
Put simply – a happy team means happy clients, and that is everything to us.
